Fat transfer – most common complications:
Swelling, which can last up to 3 months
Bruising (2 weeks)
Infection (rare, but serious). Antibiotics are prescribed.
Skin fibrosis
Scarring
Skin necrosis requiring surgical removal
Fat necrosis, fat nodule formation
Embolism, death (very rare)
